Lilium henryi x speciosum ‘Black Beauty’,
Oriental Hybrid Lily ,
OT hybrids lilies are super hybrids obtained by crossing oriental and trumpet lilies and keeping the best of both. They are similar to orientals but have larger flowers, improved vase life, a shorter growing season and improved disease resistance. ‘Black Beauty’ is an oriental hybrid lily that is a cross between L. henryi and L. speciosum. It typically grows on rigid stems to 4-7’ tall. Showy, fragrant, dark raspberry flowers (to 3”) have distinctive reflexed sepals with thin white edges, protruding anthers and small green centers.
