Blanket Flowers are valuable for their very long season of bloom. This selection blooms profusely even in the first year, forming a low, compact mound. Masses of large, deep red blossoms are produced all summer, even under hot and dry conditions. Very floriferous. Occasional yellow accents and centers as tips of Gaillardia Arizona Red Shades mature.Thrives in hot, sunny sites. It prefers poor to average well drained soils and doesn’t tolerate heavy clay soil that will stay wet through the winter.
