Coconut Punch™ (part of the Fruit Punch series) is marvelously fragrant, double-flowered, and brightly colored. When it begins blooming its flowers are a rich burgundy with pure white margins, but as the season continues, the white becomes more and more prominent -- hence the "coconut punch" of its name! By the time it ceases in early autumn, the blooms are white with red blotches!

Easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Prefers fertile, slightly alkaline, loose, somewhat gritty loams with good drainage. Add lime to acidic soils to adjust the soil pH. Best grown with regular and consistent moisture during the growing season. Plants may die out in the center, however, if drainage is not superior ('Coconut Punch' reportedly has good resistance to center die-out). Deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional bloom. Consider shearing plants back after main flush of bloom in order to tidy the planting and to promote additional bloom in late summer or early fall.
