Delphinium New Millennium ‘Cobalt Dreams,  Zones 3-7

When it comes to delphiniums we know there is only one man to talk to about finding the next best thing - New Zealand breeder Terry Dowdeswell. He's outdone himself with Delphinium 'Cobalt Dreams'. This new strain has consistently deep, true cobalt blue flowers and are given an extra boost by the fluffy 'white bees' in the centre of each flower! Even more impressive, there is less need to stake these strong delphinium plants, making them the ideal border flower for exposed gardens. Excellent form, strong stems and vigorous growth. Disease resistance, long flowering and repeat blooming.  Improved tolerance of heat and humidity.


Sun Exposure:  Full sun to part shade (planting in full sun may prevent powdery mildew)

Soil type: rich well drained soil.  Are heavy feeders.  Add compost, manure or granular fertilizer annually.

Soil PH: Grow best in soil with basic PH.  If your soil is acidic add lime.

Soil Moisture: average (when planting ensure crown is at or above soil level to avoid rot)
