A true perennial hollyhock bred and introduced in 2010 by Jelitto Seeds of  Germany. Hollyhocks have been grown in gardens for centuries, their tall spikes of satiny, crepe-textured flowers making a fine display in mid-summer. They were usually relegated to the back of a sunny border, with something in front to hide their bare lower stems. However this is no longer necessary with this new strain. This selection produces tall spikes of large, single, old-fashioned bright, rose-pink flowers held over a low mound of foliage. Flowers appear the first season. Cut plants back to 8 inches after blooming.
